Philips TL/01 UVB Narrowband Lamps
All of our UVB light therapy units are manufactured in England and fitted with genuine, Philips branded narrowband lamps. Only Philips UVB lamps are used in hospitals worldwide, but always check that the unit contains Philips Lamps. When ordering elsewhere from over-seas shopping sites, you must beware of cheaper, unbranded and unproven units that are imported psoriasis lamps from China, with an unknown UVB content. These machines will NOT treat your skin condition effectively, as these are usually the sorts of lamps found in tanning/sun beds, which people commonly mistake as a form of treatment for their skin condition. (Skin Matters Bristol never import cheaper/copy versions from China, also be mindful of traders offering medical advice and claiming to be medically qualified.) N.B. Philips do not supply medical UVB lamps to unqualified traders. Ourselves at Skin Matters Bristol are qualified and assured traders of UVB narrowband technology, helping thousands of customers free their skin of ongoing or chronic conditions. Our UVB medical lamps ensure the highest standards of treatment efficacy and safety.
These UVB tubes are the only certified tube in the UK for the treatment of psoriasis, strongly recommended by doctors and dermatologists worldwide who use these themselves. The wavelength used by these machines is 311nm, which is commonly known as the therapeutic wavelength for psoriasis and vitiligo conditions, and therefore why it is recommended highly. This is why some tubes can look and appear as normal narrowband lamps, but do not give off the correct wavelength energy in order to effectively treat the skin condition. All of these unbranded narrowband lamps that you may see advertised elsewhere will emit much less than the market leading Philips TL01 Narrowband tubes that we stock and provide at Skin Matters Bristol (no tube emits 100% at 311nm, but Philips comes closer than any other available tube on the market).
No VAT To Pay
Here at Skin Matters Bristol, we do not charge VAT for those who suffer with chronic conditions. A chronic condition is a human health condition or disease that is persistent or otherwise long-lasting in its effects or a disease that comes with time. The term chronic is often applied when the course of the disease lasts for more than three months.
No vat to pay for anyone with a chronic condition
